On International Women’s Day, Sinergest celebrates a new concrete commitment to gender equality and the well-being of our community.
At Sinergest, social responsibility has always been part of our DNA: inclusion, fairness, and valuing people are the values that guide us every day.
The Gender Equality Certification obtained in 2024 is proof of our commitment.
But for us, it is not a goal, but a new beginning.
Sinergest for gender equality: a concrete commitment to change
Access to the digital world is now a key lever for employment and economic independence. However, the gender gap in the ICT sector remains too wide.
According to the latest report “Decennio digitale 2030” (Digital Decade 2030) by Istat in Italy, women represent only 15.7% of the digital workforce, a figure that prompts us to reflect and take action.
Furthermore, the institute paints a critical picture in which Italy ranks 23rd out of the 27 EU countries in terms of IT skills.
This awareness has led to our new project, carried out in collaboration with Glocal Impact Network and the Luna Anti-Violence Center.
A special project for March 8
The journey begins internally at Sinergest, with dedicated training to improve our business practices, and extends externally with a concrete initiative: training women supported by the Luna Center in digital skills, helping them to build a professional future and a more solid reintegration into the world of work.
March 8 marks the beginning of a journey of internal growth and support for the local area:
- Centro Antiviolenza Luna: The LUNA-Onlus Association was founded in Lucca in 1999 and has been operating as an anti-violence center since 2008, becoming part of the national network D.i.Re – Donne in Rete contro la violenza (Women Networked Against Violence) in 2010. Its mission is to prevent and combat gender-based violence in all its forms – psychological, physical, sexual, and economic. In addition to direct support, it manages secret shelters, offering women in difficulty and their children a safe place to rebuild their future.
- Glocal Impact Network: A consulting and design laboratory for transformative innovation and development, composed of designers and innovators who have worked in more than 20 countries over the last 10 years. Thanks to a network of professionals from all over the world, it develops projects for social and innovative transformation, from technology to social operating models. Their goal is to combine purpose with skills to design the path towards desirable futures, where design is the tool to address the challenges of the present and generate change in the world we live in. In 2025, it will collaborate with us to strengthen the training path and promote change.
