Séraphine’s dream continues: An ambulance and food supplies sent to Burkina Faso
We are pleased to announce the completion of the project “Continua il sogno di Séraphine” (Séraphine’s dream continues), in support of Nicholas Zare, project manager and personal trainer at the Genesi gym in Lucca.
Following the success of the fundraising campaign “Let’s make Séraphine’s dream come true” organized over the past year, which led to the construction of a well in the village of Pagou, Burkina Faso, our commitment to improving the living conditions of the local community has not stopped.
Recently, we managed to send a significant shipment of aid to Pagou, consisting of:
- A used ambulance, purchased thanks to the generosity of Misericordia di Borgo a Mozzano, which will be essential for improving local healthcare
- 1,400 kg of pasta
- 640 liters of oil
- 25 complete hospital beds
- Clothing
- Children’s toys
- Children’s bicycles
- Refrigerator
This material represents an important contribution to the people of Pagou, transforming suffering into hope and significantly improving the quality of life for many people.
Nicholas Zare said, “Thanks to the new well, life in Pagou has improved significantly. Now, with the delivery of these essential supplies and the ambulance, we want to continue bringing hope and support to this community.”
Marco Vannucchi, CEO of Sinergest, added: “We are proud to have supported this project, which was born out of Nicholas’ determination and dedicated to the dream of his mother, Séraphine, who wanted to build a new well to provide drinking water to the people of her village. Guaranteed access to a safe source of drinking water has transformed the lives of many people in Pagou and was only the beginning of our commitment to the local communities in these areas. By sending the ambulance and food and hospital supplies, we wanted to continue our commitment to further improving the living conditions of this population.”
All aid has already been sent to Pagou.
Every contribution has made a difference, and we sincerely thank everyone who participated in the collection.
